On behalf of the Stevens Point American Legion Baseball Board of Directors, I am pleased to open registration for the upcoming 2024 season.  The Stevens Point American Legion baseball program is looking forward to the upcoming season to be very competitive and successful.  

Players must be 13 years of age as of January 1, 2024 to be eligible for the Junior Legion Baseball program. If a player was born in 2005 or 2006, that player must play for the Senior Legion Baseball program. **Players that graduated from high school in 2023 shall play for the last American Legion team they played on. Players shall not be eligible for transfer and their name must appear on a previously approved Legion roster. Players born in 2004 or before are no longer eligible to play American Legion Baseball. 

Tryouts will take place at Bukolt Park (use the South Gate entrance) on:
Sunday, May 5th, 2:30 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Sunday, May 12th, 2:30 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.

The program limits the size of both the Junior and Senior team rosters. This means that there is the potential that not all players that tryout will make either of the teams.  A tryout fee of $50 is required at registration. Any player whose high school baseball team is still participating in the WIAA playoffs may try out for a team but may not play until his high school team’s season concludes.  

Early registration is encouraged to help determine the number of teams, coaching needs, equipment needs, and the uniform order including sizing. If a player does not make a team, their $50 tryout fee will be refunded in full.  The deadline to register is May 1, 2024.

Since 2021, the organization has sponsored our Cash Raffle Ticket Fundraiser. Each player is responsible for selling 100 tickets and this covers the player fee, 2 team warm up shirts, team baseball cap, transportation, coaching, umpires, baseballs, and general field maintenance. First year players also receive 2 personalized jerseys and a batting helmet with Sixer decal. Each player must sell their 100 cash raffle tickets to play.  Each $10 ticket has a $10 coupon good for a $30 or more purchase at any of our participating Sixer sponsors. The drawing for the 2024 Cash Raffle Ticket Fundraiser will be held before the last game of the night on Saturday, July 6, 2024 at the Firecracker Classic.  

In addition, families must volunteer at early season SPASH and Pacelli Boys Baseball games and during the Stevens Point Sixers season.  Details about the 2024 volunteer program are being developed and will be available on the StevensPointSixers.com web site in the near future.
